Bruce Andrew
Director
With 25+ years Hydraulic and Mechanical experience Bruce offers specialist design, component procurement and problem solving to our varied customer base.
Supporting our mobile team, enjoying challenging projects and being very hands on, Bruce is happy to hand the management to Chris and the capable admin team, so he can focus on customer satisfaction and quality outcomes.
Keen on all adrenalin and adventure sports, Bruce stays active, fit and engaged in outdoor pursuits as much as possible. Keen to give life a good go, Bruce has a tenacious approach to all things he encounters.
Tracey Andrew
Director
Having been part of the Hydraulink Tauranga Team since inception, Tracey is now focusing on the Financial Admin of the company. Confident a very capable teams looks after the Customer Services and Admin, and the staff HR, she is now able to spend more time with family and joining Bruce in their mutual enjoyment of the outdoors and travel.
Attention to detail and the desire to make this business the very best it can be has kept Tracey motivated and enjoying the journey over the years.
Chris Weber
General Manager
Chris started with Hydraulink Tauranga in February 2017 as General Manager, Chris has really taken control of the business and made it his own, improving systems and focusing on quality control to give the customer exactly what they are after.
With 17+ years’ experience in Hydraulics, Mechanical and Electrics Chris offers good knowledge of the industry to support the team and customer enquiries.
When not at work Chris’ enjoys hanging out with his young family and playing social hockey.
Dean Piper
Service and Stock Manager
Dean joined the Hydraulink team in December 2020 as our friendly Workshop Forman. Fitter Turner by trade, Dean has worked in the Hydraulic and Mechanical industry for 35+ years. As workshop foreman, Dean allocates the workload, manages day to day operations of the workshop, engages in operational tasks and assists customers. Creating a hardworking, positive workshop environment. Outside the workshop, Dean spends his time gardening and taking long walks with his dogs.
Christian Van Der Walt
Workshop foreman - Hydraulics
Christian joined the Hydraulink team in April 2022 as a Hydraulic Service Technician. Fitter Turner by Trade for over 14 years, Christian also had 8 years exposure working with hydraulics. He moved to NZ in 2018 and outside of work he spends his time staying active, mountain biking, fishing, and spending time with family.
Paolo Rigamonti
Workshop foreman - Engineering
Paolo has been working as a metal machinist, solving engineering problems, since 1996.
His vast experience and valuable skill set has allowed him the opportunity to relocate from Italy, with his family, and he joined us as Lead Machinist for the Metal Spray Technologies division of our business in 2017. Paolo derives much satisfaction from solving the problems and fulfilling the requests of our customers accurately, precisely and timely.
Family is very important to Paolo and he is loving exploring Aotearoa with his wife and three children.
Steve Bennett
Hydraulic Service Technician
Steve joined the Hydraulink team in April 2019. Sometimes referred to as ‘Steve the Pom’ Steve moved from the UK to NZ in 1972. You will often hear him laughing before you see him! He has worked in the automotive trade since 1975, 12 ½ of those years as a tutor. He has 7 years’ experience working with heavy machinery. When not at work Steve enjoys anything to do with Hot Rods and custom cars.
John Whale
HSST
John started with Hydraulink Tauranga in 2002. Initially having 1 service vehicle and no staff, John has grown his customer base and mobile business to 4 service vehicles and 3 sub-contractors. Johns’ commitment to his customers ensures you are back up and running quickly minimising unnecessary down time.
Devon Hoff
HSST
Devon works for John in one of John’s 3 mobile service vehicles. Prior to joining Hydraulink, Devon’s background was in construction however he wanted to pursue a change of direction. He is enjoying being mobile, meeting new customers and learning a new trade. In his spare time Devon is a keen fisherman and enjoys spending time on his motorbike.
Jade Byers
HSST
Jade works for John in one of John’s 3 Mobile Service vehicles. Jade has been a part of the team since October 2021. Jade likes that no two days are the same. Meeting and creating relationships with new people and characters, each job has an element of surprise. When not solving hydraulic problems, Jade keeps his hands dirty with all thing’s car related, hands on creative DIY projects and hunting.
Nigel Rose
HSST
Nigel has been making hoses and hydraulic problem solving for his customers since 1995. Having worked as an independent contractor for the majority of his time in business, Nigel is now enjoying the challenge and reward of having a Sub-contractor to support his growing customer base. Family is important to Nigel and he spends as much time as he can fishing, skiing, mountain biking, caravanning and supporting his girls various sporting pursuits.
Kyle Forster
HSST
Kyle changed role in May 2022 and became a Mobile Hydraulic Service technician in one of Nigel’s 3 Mobile Service vehicles. Kyle enjoys being out and about helping customers onsite, similar to his previous job servicing forest machinery. Kyle originally joined our team in January 2020 as a Hydraulic Service Technician, having previously run a local car garage. He has 10 years’ experience in the mechanical industry, both light vehicles and heavy earth moving equipment. When not at work Kyle enjoys hunting and spending time with his young children.
Danny McNaughton
Machinist - Metal Technologies
Danny joined the Metal Spray team in November 2018.
Danny assists the Engineers, conducts repairs and maintenance as required and maintains the workshop and associated equipment. In March 2023 Danny completed his apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering.
Jamie Kelly
Customer Services and Stock
Meet Jamie, our dedicated customer services and stock supervisor who joined the team in 2023. With a keen eye for organization and a passion for helping others, Jamie ensures the stock alongside many other things are running smoothly behind the scenes. When he’s not at work, you can find him on the football pitch, showcasing his skills, or tearing up the track on his motorbike. Whether it’s teamwork on the field or efficiency in the office, Jamie brings energy and enthusiasm to everything he does!
Kelly Bonner
Office Administration
Originally from the UK, Kelly joined the Hydraulink team in February 2020. She was previously a Part time Office Manager bringing a broad range of experience including accounts payable/receivable, debt collection, Payroll, Health & Safety, and general project management. Kelly works alongside the rest of the admin team and together they ensure an efficient and smooth-running office environment. When not at work Kelly enjoys spending time with her children and getting outdoors as much as possible.
Taylah Barnett
Workshop Administrator
Taylah joined the Hydraulink team in March 2020 as our Casual Office Administration superstar. In January 2021 she accepted a permanent position with increased hours and responsibility crucial to our admin team. Taylah focusses on customer and supplier invoices, organisation of workshop written work and a broad range of other tasks. Outside of work, Taylah is a keen photographer and hip hop dancer. She enjoys spending time with family, friends and her dog.
Ellie Sievers
HSST Administrator
Ellie joined the Hydraulink team in August 2024 as our HSST Administrator. Ellie loves working with her colleague Taylah, especially sharing their common interests. In her free time, she enjoys building Lego, spending time with friends and getting out and about with her dogs.
Griffin Harvey
Hydraulic Service Technician
Griffin joined us over a year ago, having previously worked as an engineer on fuel tankers. Now, an integral part of our engineering team, bringing valuable expertise and dedication to the role. In his downtime, he enjoy the outdoors hiking through the beautiful Bay of Plenty.
Jansen Caguicla
Hydraulic Service Technician
With 12 years of experience as a certified hydraulic technician, Jansen brings expertise and precision to every project. Outside of work, he enjoys reading and actively trading in the stock market, staying sharp both technically and financially.
