HARD CHROME BAR

HMTTL stocks a range of hard chrome bar, sourced from a premium European supplier, and used in the manufacture of piston rods for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.

Range includes standard 1045 hard chrome bar and 38MnVS6 induction hard chrome bar.

Technical Specifications

20-micron minimum chrome layer depth.
Corrosion resistance: 200 hours NSS, rating 9, tested to ISO 9227 and evaluated to ISO 10289
OD tolerance is f7.
580-850 MPa (1045) – 880-1000 MPa (38MnVS6) Tensile.
Yield strength – min 275-305 MPa (1045) min 520 MPa (38MnVS6)
